Employment opportunity for inpatient/outpatient general adult psychiatry. 20-bed in-patient, locked unit with an average in-patient census of 7 patients; current average length of stay 3.3 days. Outpatient office located within ¼ mile of St. Claire Regional Medical, the second-largest employer in the county, is a not-for-profit, 159-bed acute care facility serves as the largest rural hospital in Northeastern KY. The medical center is an established training site for the University of Kentucky’s School of Medicine’s physician residency programs. St. Claire Regional Medical Center is a teaching facility where the opportunity for Voluntary Faculty with the University of Kentucky is available if you are interested. St. Claire Regional’s Medical Staff is comprised of more than 100 physicians representing 31 medical specialties and serves an eleven-county area of more than 160,000 people in its service region.
In August 2008 construction began; a regional Center for Health Education and Research. Estimated cost is $30 Million for this collaborative initiative with St. Claire Regional – University of Kentucky – Morehead State University. The proposed plans for the facility will be completed in spring of 2010 and will include Morehead State University's Health Sciences Programs including but not limited to their departments of nursing and imaging sciences, University of Kentucky's College of Medicine programs including but not limited to physician assistant and family nurse practitioner programs, and certain aspects of their College of Dentistry and College of Pharmacy programs. In addition, the new facility is to house a freestanding St. Claire Regional primary care clinic and comprehensive health education center.

An opportunity exists for an adult-oriented psychiatrist in an attractive outpatient clinic in Hardin County. Elizabethtown Psychologists is a group of four full-time and four part-time doctoral level psychologists, in business since 1981. We have been closely associated for the past five years with a psychiatrist who will retire by early September.
