Disaster Preparedness Committee
Works towards the KPMA’s strategic goals of advocating for patients, supporting education, training and career development in the area of disaster psychiatry, and enhancing the scientific basis of psychiatric care for the victims of disaster.
Legislative Committee
Studies and reports to KPMA any contemplated, pending or existing legislative matters; governmental regulatory issues, rules and regulations, and judicial decisions, which are pertinent to mental health and to the practice of psychiatry. Makes recommendations to KPMA on positions to be taken on such matters, and with consent of KPMA, represents the association before such governmental bodies.

Membership Committee
Leads efforts to recruit, maintain and serve membership. Provides outreach to membership. Recommends nominations for APA Distinguished Fellowship.
Scientific Research Committee
Plans educational programming for KPMA membership and other mental health providers.
