• Annual Fall Awards Luncheon
  KPMA's Annual Fall Awards Luncheon was held September 24 at the Hyatt in Louisville. KPMA customarily honors legislators, members of the media and advocates at this luncheon.
• KPMA Awards MIAW Grants
  KPMA gave out $7500 in MIAW grants to 16 advocate and consumer groups this year.
• Escitalopram (Lexapro): Are Antidepressant Drug Isomers In Our Future?
  ... Currently, there is significant interest in evaluating isomers of existing SSRIs for their potential antidepressant qualities.
• Call for KPA Awards Nominees
  KPA request nominations for awards to be given to outstanding members of KPA at the Annual Meeting. Nominations must be submitted to the KPA office no later than February 21, 2003.
• Call to Action
  Tough budget times may mean an up to 10% reduction in the state's human services budget including mental health.
